Cashmere

Rather than being a naturally occurring mineral, cashmere quartz is a manmade quartz stone. It is produced by mixing pigments, resins, and other ingredients with natural quartz (around 93%). It’s unknown where the term “Cashmere” came from, but it probably alludes to the stone’s opulent, silky texture and appearance, which are evocative of cashmere cloth.

In general, the 1960s saw the development of engineered quartz. Since the 1970s, it has grown in popularity as a countertop material and is now a popular option for both home and commercial applications. A more recent addition to the market for engineered quartz, cashmere quartz was created to satisfy particular design tastes.
